Spring Fever

Spring has almost sprung! The weather this past weekend was so mild and helped to melt some of the snow that we got this winter. It was so awesome to get out for a solo walk around the pond that I live near. While I did not see any deer, I did see lots of snapped and downed trees and branches.  The crisp blue skies were dappered with whispy clouds against the backdrop of Mount Baker. It was just me, my thoughts and lovely scenery, minus all the muddy ponds in the middle of the road in between watery ice chunks that I had to navigate around. I was so excited to get a picture of my favorite "portal" stump, thinking that I was capturing the mountains in the background. What I actually captured was a bunch of snow! 😂 At any rate, it was nice to get out for some fresh air and the best part was-it was not peopley.      It's early Monday morning and I am sitting here wondering what to blog about for this week. I seem to be someone that likes to write on the fly instead of planning out what to write. Sometimes, I feel like I need a teacher to give me an assignment to write about but after all, I had wanted my own domain to not have other distractions or influences while I write. I guess I was successful on that front as I sit here wondering what to blog about this week! 😂      As I sit here and write on this -16 degree morning, I am longing for warmer days and going back to work. I look forward to the colors of spring to chase away the winter blues. Well, I don't really have the winter blues but we have had many below zero days lately so I have been keeping busy being creative. I know that once the weather gets nicer I will be outside more and not being doing as much art and focusing on my photography more.      So here we are in March alrea...
